Colton Woodruff

Attorney

Colton Woodruff is the managing attorney of the Northern Virginia office of Alcock & Associates, PC, where he practices federal immigration law. He has practiced federal immigration law exclusively since 2017. Barred in Arizona and practicing from Virginia, he represents clients in immigration court and before USCIS nationwide. He has won many cancellation of removal, asylum, bond, and adjustment of status cases before immigration judges and has helped hundreds of clients with USCIS matters, including adjustment of status, I-130 petitions, waivers, U visas, and VAWA. His focus is careful preparation, clear communication, and steady advocacy.

Colton was born and raised on a farm in rural Idaho, and he values plain-spoken advice and practical solutions. He is fluent in Spanish. Colton has lived in Cuenca, Ecuador, where he worked in local orphanages. He has also lived in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he served as a legal intern with the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. Those experiences inform his client-centered, trauma-informed approach. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy in 2014 and a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2017. He is a member of AILA and the National Eagle Scout Association.

In his free time, Colton enjoys working on vintage German vehicles, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his family.
